Ductless Mini-Split

Definition

A heating and cooling system that needs no ductwork. An outdoor unit feeds one or more wall- or ceiling-mounted indoor heads — ideal for additions and older homes.

Why this matters for your home

A ductless mini-split links an outdoor condenser to one or more indoor heads through a small refrigerant line, delivering heating and cooling with no ductwork. Each head is controlled independently, so you can condition a single room or an addition zone by zone.

They shine in homes with no ducts, finished basements, additions, sunrooms, and rooms that are always too hot or too cold. Cold-climate models keep producing heat well below zero, making them practical across the Twin Cities — and they often qualify for utility rebates we can help you claim.
