Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making our website accessible to every visitor — and how to reach us if a barrier prevents you from using the site or our services.
Effective date: June 26, 2026 · Last reviewed: June 26, 2026
A&E Heating & Cooling is committed to making our website and services accessible to every visitor — including people with disabilities. We strive to provide an experience that follows accepted accessibility standards and we welcome feedback that helps us improve.
Our Commitment
We design, build, and maintain ae-mechanical.com with accessibility in mind and review our practices on an ongoing basis. Accessibility is not a one-time project — it is a continuous effort.
Conformance Target
Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines are aligned with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as applied to commercial websites.
What We Do
To support accessibility, our site is built and reviewed with:
- Semantic HTML markup with proper headings, landmarks, and form labels
- Descriptive alternative text for informative images
- Keyboard operability with visible focus indicators
- Color contrast meeting WCAG AA minimums
- Resizable text up to 200% without loss of content or function
- Predictable navigation and consistent page structure
- Form errors conveyed in plain text, not by color alone
- Reduced-motion support via the prefers-reduced-motion setting
- A phone-call alternative on every page for visitors who prefer voice contact
Known Limitations
Some areas may still fall short of our conformance target. Known limitations include:
- Third-party embedded tools (financing applications, mapping widgets) may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA
- Older blog and gallery images may have shorter alternative text than ideal
- Some legacy PDF documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers — contact us for another format if needed
